I think every house needs at least 3 window seats. Maybe one on every window 😉 Window seats are perfect in any weather — soak up the sun, watch the rain come down, gaze on the snowy landscape, take in autumn’s beauty. And they’re great for sitting while you read, chat, work on the computer, nap, eat… just about anything! So we collected 20 inspiring window seats for ya. You’re welcome.

Alisa Burke shared the colorful and bright built in window seat. I love the lively colors and patterns — and the curtains are a nice way to handle the bay window.

You know we love built-ins! This set of built-in window seat and storage shelves is perfect for a playroom or family room. Get the plans over at Sawdust Girl.

We built a similar bench in our great wall of built-ins. Loved the storage, loved the look.
