Colorful Girls Playroom Decor and Inspiration
Hello again! Dawn here, from AD Aesthetic, and I’m back with another mood board for your decoration inspiration. This time I thought it would be fun to get a bit colorful and design a moodboard for a girls playroom. Here’s what I came up with:
Mood Board Sources
(contains affiliate links; learn more here)
Rug | Curtains | Dresser
Light Fixture (similar here) | Sunset Art Print | ‘Play’ Light Up Wall Decor
Decorative Basket | Braided Pouf | Chairs | Gold Wall Decals
For this space, I really wanted something fun and bright, with just a hint of a girly look to it. I imagine the walls in this room painted a very soft, neutral blue. Something like Sleepy Blue by Sherwin Williams. Soft textures, like the shag rug, curtain fabric, pouf and storage bin, add warmth and a homey feel to the mix, while bright plums, turquoise, and coral bring in a ton of color and unique personality! Decorating with very bright furniture is a bold move that you can totally get away with in a kid’s space, so live it up!
Finally, I added in some sparkly accents with the gold light and vinyl wall decals that pick up on the metal detailing of the campaign dresser. Overall, it creates a space that is inviting and put together, but not too formal. Perfect for a child’s play room.
If you like the moodboard I put together, feast your eyes on even more girly playroom inspiration that I’ve gathered up for you!
