Our friends from Cobblestone are back to share some more beautiful inspiration for you! (Remember their previous drool-worthy renovations, this stunning white kitchen renovation and gorgeous open plan kitchen and dining room?) Today, they have 3 beautiful and spacious bathroom suites to inspire you and help you plan your master bathroom renovation. Even if your space isn’t as large as these, you can still use some of the same features and finishes to give it a spa-like and elegant feeling, like these bathrooms we’ve featured here previously (click on the picture or the caption to see the full details of each bathroom):
Spacious Bathroom Suite Inspiration
from Cobblestone Development Group
Who doesn’t love a huge master bathroom? We do, that’s for sure! As unfortunate as it is, most of the historic homes we flip hardly have space for a bathroom suite, but if we see the opportunity – we take it! And we do it big!
Small Bedroom into Master Bathroom
This bathroom is spacious, alright! Originally a small bedroom, we worked our magic into turning it into the master bathroom of everyone’s dreams. We wanted to keep it as genuine as possible, so we managed to reclaim the windows (from the 1900s) and keep the original beautiful hardwood floors. Because it wasn’t initially meant to be a space that would inevitably hold moisture, we added polyurethane to wax the wood to give it a sturdy and shiny look.
We painted the walls a light O-Zone Blue from Benjamin Moore, to accent the dreamy picture molding and carrera marble. The white bathtub and frameless glass shower were complimented with a dark espresso double vanity. All of the accents, are from Delta and the beautiful bathtub from local company named Fergusons. The light accents over the vanity were provided by another local company, Shades of Light.
To us, the chandelier is what brought this room together, and although it looks expensive – we actually snagged it from Lowes at a bargain. After a full design overhaul and renovation, it was the finishing touch to this great space.
Bright and Airy Bathroom
We loved this bathroom because of the white accents. The owners of his home wanted a bright and airy feel to the space, because it lacked windows (just one in such big room!) So we kept a very modern and white look to the space. We added in 4 inch recessed lighting as well, to add to the ambiance.
This bathroom was also once a bedroom in a past life, so our team started from scratch. The flooring salvaged, we sanded it and coated for possible moisture. A local store, Shades of Light, provided the light fixtures to add to it’s bright feel. In addition, we added marble countertops (carrera marble) and painted the walls a soft sky blue from Benjamin Moore.
Attic into Spacious Bathroom
This renovation was fun to do. As a previous attic space, we decided that huge bathroom should live here! A different kind of project for us, a few fun patterns went into making this room come together.
We kept the bathroom painted a light Stonington Grey from Benjamin Moore, and complemented it with a 12×12 brick marble pattern. Under the stand alone tub, we hand tiled a mosaic style “rug” to add some pops of color. It was a first try for us, and it came out successful!
For more color, we added a double vanity (don’t you love that dark wood?) equipped with fixtures all from Restoration Hardware, with a marble countertop. The bathtub, from Ferguson’s, was completed with a wall mounted faucet from Interior 2000. Definitely one of our favorite features, however, the best is the frameless glass sauna – equipped with a must-have item, the rain shower head!
