Another Easy DIY Wood Star for Christmas: Plywood Pennant Triangle Star
Today’s easy DIY wood star for Christmas wraps up the series of 5 wooden stars for your holiday decorating, part of our Creative Christmas series.
These are all great for Christmas, but you can save them year-round for the 4th of July and other patriotic holidays, too! Previously we’ve shown you the large rustic reclaimed wood star and the one board, three stars tutorials, and you can see all of these stars in the video tutorial here:
Super Easy Plywood Pennant + DIY Wood Star
This is a quick project, if you made this Plywood Pennant Banner. When I finished this project I had extra triangles. If you made this project I bet you did too!
Even if you didn’t already make the pennant and have the extra triangles, cutting the triangles for this DIY wood star is fast and easy — and then you can cut some more to make the pennant banner, too!
Supplies
- 5 plywood pennant triangles
- Gardening jute rope
- Hot glue sticks
Tools
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
Step 1
Lay out pieces
Overlapping corners, matching the holes drilled for stringing as a banner.
Step 2
Place bead of hot glue on each corner, working quickly so you can adjust if needed.
Step 3
Using jute, wrap around each inside corner covering the drilled holes. You can cut the jute and glue ends for each corner,
or move on to the next corner without cutting the jute. This will add a little extra detail.
