Honeycrisp Cranberry Cider
Here at Remodelaholic we love all things home decor and DIY, but we also love RECIPES. While we will continue to share our latest and greatest remodeling projects we want to start sharing some really yummy recipes once a week. Enjoy the recipes and know that we are still Remodelaholics.
Seriously friends, there’s nothing else you need when you make this drink. First, it’s super delicious and I actually mean so delicious you are not going to want to drink anything else until March. Second, it’s super easy to make and while it definitely needs some cooking time the actual hands-on time is pretty low. And finally, the scent your home has while you are cooking this is the best!
Actually, I would love if we could somehow bottle up that scent because it’s better than any candle! I actually like to make this before a party because it helps to create a cozy and warm ambiance + I also get fresh homemade cider.
But back to the actual honeycrisp cranberry cider. In this recipe, we are going to be using some of the traditional fall/winter ingredients, think fresh apples, some cranberries, a couple of oranges, and lemon slices and as many spices as you like. While most ciders don’t call for lemon I love the little twist it gives it and how it balances off all the spiciness.
I like to make it on the spicier side, so I add clove, cinnamon, allspice and cardamom. Because in my opinion there’s nothing more comforting than a spicy drink on a cold day.
You can also use fresh cranberries or dried cranberries depending what you have on hand. I also like to add a couple of rosemary sprigs because they give the honeycrisp cranberry cider a nice flavor punch.
When serving it I like to use short glasses and garnish with a couple more of apple and lemon slices + a couple of rosemary sprigs.
