Easy Bacon Broccoli Salad

Not only is this recipe simple to make, but it also pairs well with a variety of main dishes. Serve your bacon broccoli salad alongside a helping of teriyaki chicken wings, beer-battered chicken sandwiches, or buttermilk fried chicken. Find more of our main dish recipes here.
Another nice thing about this salad is that it keeps well in the fridge for at least a day or two. You can serve it chilled or not–it’s completely up to you and the amount of time you have to prepare it. You may also find you like the dressing on other salads as well.
In our photos here the bacon broccoli salad is served alongside roasted chicken. To make our roasted chicken, simply insert two lemon halves inside a whole chicken, rub kosher salt on the outside of the chicken, place in a roasting pan, and cook for 2 hours at 375 degrees. How simple is that?

Easy Bacon Broccoli Salad

- 4-5 cups raw broccoli
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/3 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 3/4 cup raisins
Dressing
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup mayonaise
- 3 tbsp vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
Instructions
- Mix the first 5 ingredients together in a medium-large bowl.
- Combine all dressing ingredients together in small bowl and stir.
- When ready to serve, toss the dressing and salad ingredients together.

Great recipe. For the last few years I have made a similar salad for family dinners and it gets snapped up. One change I do is to use halved grapes instead of raisins since I am not a raisin fan. ๐ I look forward to tweaking my dressing with your ingredients.
