Birthday Cake Milkshake
Here at Remodelaholic we love all things home decor and DIY, but we also love RECIPES. While we will continue to share our latest and greatest remodeling projects we want to start sharing some really yummy recipes once a week. Enjoy the recipes and know that we are still Remodelaholics.
I have a little guilty secret to share with you. I just can’t contain myself when it comes to birthday cake. I mean for me it’s the type of cake that we should probably eat every single celebration, not only on birthdays. SO these lasts couple of years, where the birthday cake has made a revival and has been incorporated to pretty much anything under the sun (candles, books, candies, all types of cakes and drinks) I’ve been a happy person. Like a really happy person.
But for some reason I’ve never included it in my recipes. I mean I sure had my fair share of birthday cake anything, it’s just that I never quite cooked a lot of them.
So when family and I were craving a milkshake this weekend I knew I had to try my hand at making a birthday cake milkshake. And the result was so amazing, so delicious, and so cheered by the crowd that I knew I had to share it with you all.
For me, the reason why this is so good is because we are using good quality ice cream. Seriously, the ice cream is the star of this recipe so just pick one you really love.
Another thing is that you should go big with the whipped cream and the sprinkles. Both of them are what make this recipe look over the top fun and delicious so seriously go big on both of them.
And finally add a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a couple of tablespoons of day old cake and you are all set. You can skip the cake if you feel like it, but it definitely adds an extra layer of flavor.
