French Country Laundry Room
Go for that rustic but refined look of French country style with this laundry room from the Utah Valley Parade of Homes 2018 Home 4 by Raykon Construction. This laundry room doubles as a butler’s pantry and looks gorgeous! There is a lot of space and storage, and we want to help you get that comfy elegance in this French country laundry room.
1. Add a Unique Mirror as a Focal Point
Start decorating this French country laundry room by drawing the eye up and adding a special bit of elegance with a gilded mirror with a lovely scalloped edge. It goes perfectly over the sink which is finished in a gold tone to match.
2. Rolling Laundry Storage
Leave some cabinet space open on the lower cabinets to allow rolling laundry sorters to slide and hide out of the way. This functional idea looks clean and put together, even though there may or may not be laundry lurking in those sorters. The rolling is great for traveling around a larger laundry space too.
3. Comfy and Cute Seating
Adding in gorgeous upholstered barstools with gorgeous wood turned legs, really add to the mix of rustic elegance in this room. Plus, opting for an upholstered seat is a comfortable bonus.
4. Durable Flooring
Durable hard floors are a must for a laundry room. To get this look use rectangle brick style tiles in varying tones of gray. These are laid in a herringbone pattern. Play around with the tiles to create the perfect pattern, there are really multiple pattern options that would work well with this type of tiles.
5. Island for Folding Clothes
Folding clothes can be such a bore and hard if you don’t have the right space. Adding an island, allows you to sit at the island and fold clothes. Lifesaver! Bring your laptop in and watch a show while you knock out that folding.
Finishing the Look
Finish up the look with the important small details. Small succulents, a wood tray here and there to corral decor items and soaps. Even add a small ottoman in a corner for a small place to slip on shoes. The cabinets also add tons of storage and the light muted blue color really adds a pop of color that works so well with the french country style.

I’m a little baffled how this is doubling as a butler’s pantry given it’s on the other side of the home from the kitchen. I’ve been through this home a few times.
