What is a bunk room?
Before we start decorating, what is a bunk room? It is a room that can sleep multiple people using bunk beds. These can be built-in or free-standing. Bunk rooms are great for housing guests or for children sharing a room.
Bunks usually line one or both walls to utilize the space and provide more sleeping spaces.
How to Decorate a neutral bunk room?
1. Add a Modern Fan
When sleeping multiple people in one area, it can easily get warm! Adding an eye catching modern fan with black blades and a light can help keep the space cool and comfy for guests. Plus, adds a little bit extra light too if you go with a fan and light combo!
2. Built-in Bunks
Built-ins look AMAZING, but you could get away with creating faux built-in bunks or free standing bunks that look, super sleek. We have a couple of options below to help you out in the how to style a bunk room section below.

3. Coordinating Linens
What really gives this room a more modern vibe is the linens. They are coordinating but not exactly they same. No matchy matchy beds here. Instead mix white, black, and tan linens in a variety of ways. The top and bottom bunks use the same colors, but in opposite ways. This also goes for the pillows. Stick with the neutral palette, but mix it up a bit between the top and bottom bunks!
4. Simple Rug for Texture
Add in a rug to warm up the hard floors and add a touch of texture and pattern. Go with a simple striped pattern or other very simple patterned rug. The rug also grounds and centers the room.
5. Add extra seating
If this will be a hang out area as well, add in some comfy seating. These fluffy bean bag chairs really are comfy, fun, and a great place to relax. They face a wall mounted television to provide some entertainment in the bunk room.
