Get the Look: Floral Pink Girls’ Shared Bedroom
After visiting the 2021 Utah Valley Parade of Homes, we came away inspired by all of the lovely designs and ideas, especially this particular bedroom idea! Let’s recreate this floral pink shared girls’ bedroom from UVPH 2021 Home 13 by Utah Professional Women in Building and designed by Allison Campbell Design. We go over five key elements for nailing the look of this floral pink shared girls bedroom.
1. Neutral Window Treatments
Star with the windows in this gorgeous room! They are a light white and beige tone with a floral pattern. This subtle touch adds a nod to the floral look without having to have so much bold pattern. It is there and adds a slight texture and softness to this lovely room.
2. Layered Bedding and Throw Pillows
Layer on more texture and color with simple solid bedding. Adding in whites and pinks from the rug for the bedding compliments the pattern well. Then top it off with some simple patterned throw pillows. Add in different tones from the rug as well to create a cohesive look.
3. Gold Accents
Gold accents add a richness to this room full of texture. think lamps, curtain rods, small decor pieces and even dresser hardware. That bit of shine goes a long way and works well with the overall vibe of the room.
4. Black Metal Farmhouse Bed
Add a bit of contrast in an otherwise light room by adding a black metal bed frame. A nice matte black works well with the pinks and whites of the bedding. It provides that necessary bit of contrast and design with the visual interest created by the different lines in the bed.
5. Pink Patterned Area Rug
This rug is the really the showstopper of the room. The variety of colors, the soft floral pattern, and size really anchor this floral pink girls’ shared room. Be sure to find a beautiful pattern, and get a size large enough for the space. This one goes under the beds, and then extends out into the rest of the room. We have a couple similar ones we found!
